I am an Orthodox Christian Priest. I love people, and I love music. And this site is dedicated to sharing the stories of the spectrum of musicians and artists I have had the blessing to meet and interview. It is an opportunity to talk openly, even if subtly, about the inherent inspiration of God in every person , including in those who don’t accept the possibility—done in a spirit of mutual respect.
I call it two-way interviews, since, of course, I have asked to interview each artist, and humbly offer the musician the opportunity to interview me—that is, to ask me any question or questions. None is off limits.
For my 50th birthday, I got an amazing gift. My friend Armin Brown of the Deweys invited me to play MR MOTO with the band…
My metallic pink Aria Pro II electric guitar, which my parents gave me for Christmas in 1989.
Originally belonged to Andrew Stanley, my 5th grade classmate who went on to be my college roommate.
I play this guitar to this very day, having learned on it, starting with the Clash, the Sex Pistols, PiL, Green Day, Rancid, U2, REM, as well as Spanish Bands like Loquillo y los Trogloditas, Duncan Dhu, and Los Ronaldos—and many more.
My favorite sticker came with an invitation to a book club. You could return the invitation with the sticker, “NOPE, don’t read much. Hurts my brain.”
